The latest is the floods on the ground floor again, not only in the storage shed area in the back half of the building but also in the bicycle storage shed on the other side of the lifts.

Also there is work being done for deterioration of concrete by a firm called Martech. You may have noticed work men abseiling up and down our block.

I hope everyone has recovered from the power cut that caused such alarm last Sunday evening, the 21st of January – the one good thing is that it’s given rise to this website being set up after 5 of us got together round the concierge’s office that evening. For those of you not in the know, us 5 got together informally using the coffee/ table area on Monday 22 Jan of the Brickworks – it’s here, a lot of work from residents in consultation with the Council went into trying to minimise environmental disruption, though there are inevitably still ongoing problems, so let’s at least use it when we can.
I have also personally complained about the failure to explain the role of Ivy Hall and positive tenant community action in the speeches made at the launch of the Brickworks o 20 January, and have received an apology from Colin Adams on behalf of Richard Watts – I haven’t had a reply from Richard Watts himself yet, and am concerned that Section 106 money that was promised for environmental improvements around Ilex House base as a spin off from the new housing and community centre development has been spent elsewhere in the Tollington Ward.
